nl.h: Error: »HL_EXP« is no type name

I fetched HawkNL 17 b1 and try to compile ufo2000

I get:

/usr/local/include/nl.h:268: Error: »HL_EXP« is no type name

I suppose it somehow involves a missing HawkThreads package, but there is no linux make file for that package.

Suggestions ?
